On this route you will discover the culture and traditions of immigrant towns which have had a
strong influence on the Córdoba way of life. You will also have the opportunity to visit the
UNESCO World Heritage sites across the Jesuit Complex, all while meeting the charming
locals. It is one of the most fascinating and paradoxically, least explored regions of our territory.

  • Taste “parrilladas” in the traditional barbecue restaurants located in Jesús María.
  • Discover the taste of the famous salami in Colonia Caroya.
  • Visit Pueblo Estancia La Paz.
  • Candonga: a full day of horse riding in the hills (“asado” included). For the adventurers, you can ride a mountain bike along these same roads.
  • Take it easy and drive across the “old route” between Rio Ceballos, Unquillo, Mendiolaza and Villa Allende to discover the bohemian villages.



STARTING - Chacra de Luna

En route to Colonia Caroya, we will first visit Chacra de Luna, an authentic farm with organic
and ecological production where you can taste local delicacies and discover the Italian
immigrant traditions.

Colonia Caroya - Salami & Wines

Arriving in Colonia Caroya there is much to see, but our two designated stops will be “Norma
Londero”, the most famous traditional salami producer …… and then the Wine Cellar Bodega
La Caroyense.

Jesús María - Estancias & Asados

The next stop will be Jesús María. At this point you can’t miss the opportunity to learn about
Jesuit Heritage while visiting the National Museum of Jesus Maria.
Another Must: Have lunch in the “parrilladas” a famous asado restaurant.

Pueblo Estancia La Paz

Staying overnight in Pueblo Estancia La Paz is highly recommended. This hotel is well-know
because of its history and natural environment. You can enjoy many activities on the property
such as horse riding, polo, golf and tennis.

Agua de Oro - El Búho Hams

Serrano ham tasting at “El Búho”!, which also offers jams of slow and artisanal healing of at
least 18 months of gestation.

Candonga – Horse rides “a la carte”

Don’t miss the horse riding tours across Candonga`s Hills and through the surrounding area.
The famous chapel and the natural environment makes this an unforgettable visit.

Unquillo y Mendiolaza - Art & gastronomy

Returning to Córdoba: take some time to visit the striking Guido Buffo House and Chapel. Then continue by the “old route” across bohemian villages, such as Unquillo, Mendiolaza and Villa Allende.
